When I upgrade from the FREE 1MB account to a Paid account, do I need to signup again or delete my old folder?
No, our software will automatically upgrade your folder from 1MB to 2MB or 10MB without
interruption. You should retain all of your images and continue on from there.
I am not sure if 1MB of space is enough. Can I have another folder?
Duplicate accounts are not allowed with the Free Accounts. We do, however, offer two paid accounts, a 2 MB plan for $1.00 a month and 10MB Accounts of space for your Auction Images at $5.00 per month. Duplicate accounts will be deleted. This sounds harsh but there needs to be space for all who need the Free Accounts.
My images won't show in the 'Sell Your Item' form...why is that?
Make sure that there is only one http:// in the box.
Where do I find the 'URL' address for the pics I upload?
After your image is uploaded, simply click on it's filename. A new window will open displaying your new pic...the address above ( http://auction-images.com/you/image.jpg or .gif ) is the URL. Simply Cut & Paste this into your Item Description.
I cannot delete some of my images from my folder. I keep getting an 'invalid file name' message...why is this?
Make sure that there are no spaces in the filename ( they will appear as %20 ). If this is the case, check the radio button next to the image, and then below, rename the file using
an underline( _ ) or no space at all. The file can now be deleted.
When I attempt to upload a file, I get 'timed out' or 'invalid file type .pl' messages. Why is this?
The file size may be too large or your connection to the Internet may be slow. Try uploading files 80KB or smaller...this will also make your auction listings load faster.
The 'invalid file type .pl' means that you are attempting to upload an image other than a .jpg or .gif (or there is heavy site traffic)...if the file is .jpg or .gif, simply try again.
Can I use FTP to upload my images?
No. FTP requires privileges and passwords to the site that we cannot grant. The
ability to upload 10 images
at a time makes this unnecessary.
The 'Browse' button will not work for me. Why is this?
Make sure that you are using at least Internet Explorer v5.0, Netscape v4.7 or Opera v5.2 when you attempt to upload.
Also, many times a re-start of your PC can help as well as clearing your History or Cache.
I cannot access some of my images. Why is this?
Make sure that your filename extensions are in lowercase, not CAPS ( i.e. .jpg or .gif as opposed to .JPG or .GIF ). If this is the case, use the 'Rename' feature of your file manger.
I am on Web TV and when I try to use the password
to signup, I am unable to access the page. What can I do?
Send us an e-mail explaining this and we will send you a link for the signup page rather than the password.
The index.html of my folder still shows 'Under Construction', why is this?
This is placed as a sort of bookmark for users to use to build a web page if they so desire. It is the responsibility of the member to do this but is not required.
Do you asset with Blackthorne Auction Assistant or other Auction
Management tools?
No. We cannot assist with third party software. We only provide support for this site and our software.
Do you help with auction advice and information?
On a limited basis. We try to stick to the business of being a web host. However, on minor issues we may be able to point you in the right direction
Will sending multiple Support Requests get me a faster response?
No. Multiple requests for support often can slow down response time as each task is assigned. When a newly numbered request from the same user appears, two people get tied up with assistance instead of one. This affects everyone negatively
